Classics and Christmas

Maximum audience each concert: 65
Albert Hall

After months away from the performance stage Canberra Choral Society is delighted to present a concert to simply celebrate the joy of singing together again. We will present a program of familiar works, including movements of Handel's The Messiah, frequently payed at this time of year, the opening chorus from Vivaldi's Gloria, and Bach's chorale Jesu Bleibet Meine Freude.
We also include some works that deviate from our usual fare: Victoria's beautiful O Magnum Mysterium, Bach's wonderful final motet Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, and Fauré's timeless Cantique de Jean Racine. And of course no December concert would be complete without a small selection of Christmas music, familiar and hopefully new and exciting!
Join us in the beautiful surrounds of the Albert Hall as we take you on a journey of reflection, hope and celebration.
