Rejoice in the Lamb

CCS presented two performances of Rejoice in the Lamb – a program of English sacred music from the 19th and 20th centuries. From Charles Parry’s blockbuster anthem I Was Glad to Imogen Holst's gentle and introspective Hymne to Christ, the program is a sublime combination of peaceful and rousing tunes, always joyful and hopeful.

Ein Deutsches Requiem

Saturday 24 July 2021, 3.00pm

Llewellyn Hall, ANU

Emerging from the enforced hibernation of 2020, the Canberra Choral Society and National Capital Orchestra are incredibly pleased to continue their traditional annual collaboration with the performance of Johannes Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem. This is Brahms’s most personal work – a true masterpiece that established his unmistakable musical voice and timeless reputation.

Join us to delight in this sensational music for an unforgettable performance conducted by Leonard Weiss featuring Song Company soprano Rachel Fink and baritone Andrew Fysh, with chorus master Dan Walker.

Music for Voices & Brass

Canberra Choral Society is delighted to commence their 2021 season with the sound of trumpets, trombones, and glorious voices.

Join us as we explore the music of Andrea and Giovanni Gabrieli, whose works filled the great space of St Mark's Basilica in 16th century Venice.

We are also proud to present the Canberra premiere of Dan Walker's celebrated Mass of Deliverance. This uplifting mass setting combines the power of choir, brass and percussion with stirring effect. Join us in our long-awaited return to the Llewellyn Hall for this thrilling musical event.
