Our nation’s capital is a city full of hot air, high drama and political theatre — one that calls out for the passion, reflections and insights of a good opera.
On 30 May CCS is answering the call with Handel’s Hercules –– an extraordinary study in marital jealousy, set against the backdrop of war’s impact on returned soldiers and their families. This neglected and topical masterpiece will star Christopher Richardson and Christina Wilson, with Brett Weymark conducting and Tobias Cole directing.
To support the production we are running a crowdfunding campaign through Pozible to raise $8,000 by 23 May. Contributions of all sizes will be greatly appreciated, and you can choose from a range of rewards. Want a souvenir production photo, or an invitation to our cast party? For the dedicated Handel collector (or Brett Weymark fan) we’re even offering the baton which Brett uses on the night to conduct the performance!
Read more about our crowdfunding (and contribute!) at www.pozible.com/hercules. You’ll also find lots more information about our Hercules production, too!
