Free workshop and opportunity to audition!

If you’ve ever thought about joining the Canberra Choral Society, grab your diary and block out the afternoon of 22 February. That’s when we are offering a free “Preparing to Sing in a Choir” workshop at the School of Music, conducted by everyone’s favourite choral conductor – CCS Artistic Director Tobias Cole.

You’ll sing some wild and whacky exercises (and find out why they help you be a good choir singer), get some practical tips on singing, meet a few choir members, and have lots of fun!

If you would like to try out for a permanent place in CCS, individual auditions will be held straight after the workshop while your voice is still “warmed up”, helping you to sing your best. (See here for further details about our auditions process.) If you don’t want to audition this time, that’s fine too, you are welcome to just do the workshop.

We also invite you to join us at one of our rehearsals prior to the workshop (10 and 17 February) to give you an experience of the CCS Chorus, and a chance to ask any questions you may have.

To reserve your place in the workshop (and book an individual audition if you want to), please contact CCS President Alison White at awhite54 [at] hotmail.com or 0451 681 885.

Workshop: 1-2pm Saturday 22 February, Foster Room, School of Music.
