Each year the Canberra Choral Society offers a scholarship to support a full-time student studying within any academic discipline at university level. Applications are open to auditioned members or prospective members who wish to join the choir.
Preference will be given to applicants under the age of 35.
The scholarship is valued at $800 and paid in four instalments of $200 over the course of the calendar year. In addition, the successful applicant receives complimentary membership of the Canberra Choral Society for the year of their scholarship.
Applications will be assessed by the Committee of the Canberra Choral Society, with scholarships awarded on the basis of merit and performance at a choral audition.
The recipient is expected to meet standard membership requirements of the Canberra Choral Society in relation to attendance, rehearsal and performance commitments. Failure to meet membership expectations may result in termination of the scholarship.
